Underwater NUDE Photography: Part 1 ( 6 Original Photos from My Underwater Dreams Project )

These photos are from my first underwater photography project "Underwater Dreams".

Surprisingly enough, they were ALL taken with a Fuji XP80 sport camera. With proper lighting (full sun) and calm, clear water, this camera does a great job giving me the base photos to work from and digitally enhance to create the final images.

Note: I did not tag this post as nsfw since these are artistic partial-nude photos and the title gives plenty of warning. :-)

This session took about 3 hours, from 11AM to 2PM, and required a lot of patience from me and the models with passing clouds and fabrics that floated freely in the currents. The first part of the session used a gold sequin material to act as a contrasting color for the blue, and also a light reflector helping to "warm" up the skin colors. I used the "beach daylight" and "cloudy day" settings on the camera, NOT the "underwater" setting as you might think. That setting mutes out the skin tones and results in an overall blue-ish tint to the photos with splotchy shadow areas.

Overall, they came out great and I am happy with the results we got and how they look as 8x12 and 12x12 metal prints. In the coming months as I get going here on Steemit I will make many of photos in my collections available for purchase. I would suggest that you do tag them NSFW as it's for any full nudity even artistic at this point. I won't downvote you but some might especially if you are posting uncensored images on Steem Chat. I have been through it already, I was even attacked for fully clothed images that were barely suggestive. Fortunately things have changed on Steemit for the better and things have become less restrictive since then. Just looking out for you and trying to help you avoid the same problems I ran into. :)

Ok thanks Nico. I wasnt sure at the time I posted this first set, and it's past the lockout to edit the tags. Currently I do and will put nsfw on anything with nudity.

I read your recent post and I do share your view on the human body as not something to be seen as offensive or obscene. So it is upsetting at some level to have to censor our work.

I appreciate your looking out for me and your taking the time to write to me about it. Thank you.
