😘 Happy HUMP DAY! This Week's Artistic Nude Photography Plus DPORN and VICE Updates

_{The History: As many of you know I used to participate in most of the NSFW photography contests sponsored by the Whaleshares Community as it was really the only place to showcase any kind of art (photography or other mediums) that contained nudity on Steemit where it could be fairly discusses in a mature manner. Once those contests ended I gradually stopped posting anything that has to the "tagged NSFW" until the conversation was reignited with the announcement of the VICE platform being scheduled for launch this summer. In a few months we will have a place to showcase our work and build an artist community where it will be appreciated.}

All of the photographs today carry over from the same photoshoot as last week. These were the from the "warm-up session" while we were waiting for the best sun angle to start with the underwater photos were working on. I was using the natural sunlight passing through the vertical blinds in the window to create the contrasting light and dark patterns on the model's body.

These were taken with my Nikon D5300 using a 50mm f1.8 lens.

While I don't take on photography sessions as a "job" anymore, there is still a circle of people around me who know I have the ability to do so and from time-to-time I will dust of the equipment and use these requests to maintain the skill. It's pretty much a word-of-mouth thing, in a few months the model from these photos will come back with a friend who saw her pictures and wants to give the underwater pictures a try. So I will have some of those photos to share with everyone later on down the road too.

📢 VICE UPDATE

So the VICE Token crowdsale is underway, and not without a very bumpy start. On Monday (Feb 19th) those of us on the whitelist had to wait through 2 separate restarts as the VIT team worked through technical problems with the Ethereum contract that tied in the whitelisted addresses with the max reserved token amounts.

For the record there are two things about this crowdsale that had me very irritated with the VIT Team and the forward-facing public relations efforts behind it.

First, at NO POINT during the day of February 19th, 2018 did the price of Ethereum drop below $928 (pre-dawn hours) and was in fact OVER $945 from the Original 11AM EST start time through the 2:30PM EST restart time and yet the VIT Team priced the per token price at 0.000055ETH or $909 ETH.

It might not seem like much at first, but that is a loss of 720 VICE Tokens per ETH. Using STEEM as the equivalent use case, 720 x $4 = $2,880 LOSS in potential token value down the road. That is a BIG DEAL for many people. It was never explained how they set this price.

Second, we saw a very defiant support team on the VICE telegram channel insisting during BOTH of the errant ETH contract time-frames that the failed transactions were a result of user error, not anything on their side. The first issue was blatantly clear that there was a contract issue as EVERY single transaction was failing. The second time we can give a little more wiggle room, but after 30 minutes and several attempts by people showing proof they were whitelisted and all getting the same contract error the VIT Team continued to pass it off as user error and continued to copy/paste in useless FAQ graphics while deleting member messages of people asking for help and answers. It took about an hour from them to acknowledge a second error in the ETH contract that omitted a high percent of whitelisted accounts or their max buy-in limits.

I understand managing Telegram and Discord channels can get hectic at times, but hopefully going forward the VIT Team will polish their public relation policy.

I've been keeping an eye on DPorn and learning a bit more about the project over the past few weeks, I also bought some PORND tokens to secure a piece of the action for myself. Over the past week the price of PORND Tokens have shot up from 0.05 BTS to 1.97 BTS as of this morning.

The @DPorn Team has recently released the first draft of their whitepaper giving details on how the platform and token will work. At the moment the token sold on the Bitshares DEX is a 'placeholder' for a future native token that they plan to setup as an SMT on the STEEM chain. To be honest, it would be nice to see this as a complete split/fork off the STEEM chain similar to what VICE is doing - that would keep the system more resilient from censorship pressures of larger whale accounts here on Steemit. We'll see how this project develops in the coming weeks.
