Steemit wants to show off steemers and their original work. That is what brings value to the community. What are your interests, talents and stories? Post them here and you don't have to be perfect but if you keep posting you will surprise yourself.
In the beginning you won't see many rewards because no one knows who you are. Clever titles and other people's work may help a little. but, there's more for you than that.
The best way to get noticed is to check out other steemers' posts and comment. Also, comment on interesting engaging comments because you get paid for commenting, Upvote high quality posts because that brings value to the community and you get paid for that too! When you give value to others you receive rewards, recognition/following and a knowledge.
