Bear sculpture made from tree stump

While exploring Settles Bridge Park I came across an interesting sight. It was an old tree stump, where someone formed the cut top in the shape of a Bear head. This must be new as I did not notice it in previous visits. Maybe a tree was cut down but someone took the remainder and formed art out of it.

There is mushrooms growing on it now, which gives it an added effect to the sculpture in my opinion. They transition from the bare trunk up into the sculpted head.

The other side was bare, hah.. Well no mushrooms growing. But the artist added nice effects by putting strikes in the wood giving a fur like appearance.

I love the ears, and snout. Not sure who did this, I did some research online but could not come up with the artist that created this. I did not see any information at the park about it as well. Hope it lasts, weather can be harsh on old tree logs and people are dicks sometimes and may damage it. Glad I got to see it in its glory before anything happened to it.
