New Zealand 2017: Tunnel beach (6 original photos)
Tunnel beach is about 20 min from the city of Dunedin on South Island and one of my favorite places because of the amazing landscape. The path down to the beach is pretty steep but worth the walk. The tunnel was carved in the 1870s because a local politician wanted his family to have access to the beach. It is a 72 step tunnel which leads to a small beautiful beach with interesting rock formations.
