East London through a Brownie Bullet 2

I recently acquired a 1962 Brownie Bullet 2 camera. This little guy is a no-frills point and shoot that takes 127 sized film, which is a bit smaller than 120, but larger than your standard 35. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of places that manufacture 127, but there are some black and white rolls floating around and if you're really determined you could roll some 35 onto a used 127 spool.

For these photos I used ReraPan 100ISO. The Brownie Bullet 2 has a shutter speed of 1/50 or 1/60 with an aperture around f/11. This overcast day was on the bright side for these settings. I definitely had better results in darker areas pointing completely away from the sunlight. The slow shutter made a sharp image very difficult, especially since the metal shutter release takes a bit of effort to press. The plastic Daikon lens creates a bit of softness around the edges, but I was surprised how clear it was considering it's been tossed around uncovered for over 50 years.

I'm looking forward to another clear day when I can take it out again! I'm still looking for colour film, so if anyone has seen any in the wild, let me know!
