Pick's Drive In - Cloverdale California

Vintage car shows are a huge part of Cloverdale's recent history. We had the opportunity to photograph the "Cloverdale Cruise" for Pick's Drive In.

Pick's is a landmark in Cloverdale. It originally opened as a root beer stand in 1923, however in 2016 David Aliota, took over Pick's and expanded his hugely successful Healdsbuger (Healdsburg,Ca) menu north to Cloverdale.

The party starts off on Friday evening with cars from all over the west coast showing up for the sponsored festivities - a BBQ dinner & dance, outdoor movies in the Park, plus the car show. For hours cars cruise up and down Cloverdale Ave. and the public gathers to check it all out.

Saturday morning the cars and their owners feast on steak and eggs from Pick's before they head out on the actual cruise, which is a 230 mile journey thru Mendocino, Lake, and Sonoma Counties.

Over 350 vintage cars and motorcycles participated in the event. That's a lot of beautiful paint jobs and chrome.

Not to mention the love and passion that must go into restoring and caring for these vehicles. This cruise seemed to be a perfect tribute and celebration of that love.

We photographed the Chevy's in the Pick's parking lot @ 6am the foggy Saturday morning. These owners are part of a '55 Chevy Car Club based out of Santa Rosa, Ca.
