Himalaya Wildlife Photography : Himalayan Vulture
Himalaya Wildlife Photography : Himalayan vulture
In past I have posted about the Himalayan vulture. And they are some of the fearsome birds in the mountain region. Though their numbers are reducing very quickly. The china and tibet region seems to be having a lot of those birds. And some of them do come around in the himachal region. You can see that these vultures are very big in size and they can even attack human kids if need be. Some of them are known to take away sheeps too.
In this image, the mid sized vulture is just around the human habitat. I am not sure what is his target. I am guessing rats and other insects. Most likely he is eyeing on them and going to lift them up. It's very nice experience to capture them. And they can be really deadly against their targets. If you ever get a chance to capture them then do take a look at them in tibet himachal and some of the nearby areas.

this shot is amazing @skysnap. Tge timing is just right that it looks like the vulture is looking through the lens 😊 just kind of a bomber that the its head is cropped.
