Mobile Photography 9: The Boudhanath Stupa

The photograph is of the infamous Boudhanath Stupa. The Stupa lies in the ancient trade route from the Tibet which enters the Kathmandu city. According to history the stupa was build during the times of Licchavi kings.
The are around Stupa can be seen crowded with people. It has been a piece of attraction to lots of tourists all over the world.
I visited the place yesterday. One thing for sure, there are lots of restaurants, cafes and hotels. It's probably due to large number of foreigners visiting this place everyday. Nevertheless, the Stupa is a masterpiece and quite remarkable to look at.
The earthquake of 2015 has left it with bits of cracks. However it has been in the process of renovation.
