"JAIVANA CANNON" जयवान तोप

Today we are going to talk about the world famous "Jaivana Cannon" in Jaipur, which is kept in Jaigad fort of Jaipur.

During Jaipur tour I saw the Jaivana Cannon set in Jaiagarh fort which I am posting here.

Jaivana Cannon

This picture belongs to the world famous Jaivana Cannon. It was built during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II (1699-1743 AD) in 1720 AD in the factory located in Jaigad fort.

The length of its placenta is 20 feet and rounding is 8 feet 7 1/2 inches and weighing 50 tons. The diameter of this circle is 11 in diameter and weigh 50 kilograms. It requires 100 kilograms of ammunition to fill it once. Its firepower is 22 miles.
At the mouth of this is the bird couple behind elephants and ballaris in between.

Even though being a destructive instrument, this artillery is a unique example of the art and craftsmanship of the artisans of that era.

The task of restoring its nail on the wheels was done during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh Ji II (1835-1880 AD) and by them only this iron roof (tinseed) was manufactured.

Its wheels height is 9 feet and the axle thickness is 1 feet.

With the back wheels and the rolling pin attached to them, it can be rotated in every direction as needed.

After the construction, it was run once as a test.

No army was able to reach the fort due to the strong security system and the wisdom of the rulers, and hence the need to use it was not created.

This wonder is the heritage of our ancestors.

आज हम जयपुर में रखी विश्व प्रसिद्ध जयवान तोप के बारे में चर्चा खाने जा रहे हैं जो कि जयपुर के जयगढ़ किले में रखी हुई है।

जयपुर भ्रमण के दौरान मैंने जयगढ़ दुर्ग में रखी जयवान तोप देखी जिसका चित्र यहां पोस्ट कर रहा हूं।

यह चित्र विश्व प्रसिद्ध जयवान तोप का है। इसका निर्माण महाराजा सवाई जयसिंह द्वितीय (1699-1743 ई०) के शासनकाल में सन 1720 ई० में जयगढ़ दुर्ग में ही स्थित कारखाने में हुआ था।

इसकी नाल की लंबाई 20 फीट और गोलाई 8 फीट 7 1/2इंच ‌ और वजन 50 टन है। इससे चलाए जाने वाले गोले का व्यास 11 इंच और वजन 50 किलोग्राम है। इसको एक बार भरने के लिए 100 किलोग्राम बारूद की आवश्यकता होती है। इसकी मारक क्षमता 22 मील है।
इस के मुहाने पर हाथी पीछे पक्षी युगल और बीच में बल्लारी है।

विध्वंसक यंत्र होते हुए भी यह तोप तत्कालीन आमेर के कारीगरों के कला प्रेम और कार्यकुशलता का एक अनूठा नमूना है।

इसकी नाल को दुबारा पहियों पर रखने का कार्य महाराजा सवाई रामसिंह जी द्वितीय (1835-1880 ई०) के शासनकाल में हुआ था और उनके द्वारा ही यह लोहे का छप्पर (टीनशेड) निर्मित करवाया गया था।

इसके पहियों की ऊंचाई 9 फीट और धुरे की मोटाई 1 फीट है।

पीछे के पहियों और उनके निकट लगी रोलिंग पिन की सहायता से इसे आवश्यकतानुसार प्रत्येक दिशा में घुमाया जा सकता है।

निर्माण के बाद परीक्षण के तौर पर यह तो एक बार ही चलाई गई थी।

किले कि सुदृढ़ सुरक्षा व्यवस्था एवं शासकों की सूझबूझ के कारण यहां कोई भी सेना नहीं पहुंच पाई और इस कारण इसके द्वारा उपयोग की आवश्यकता उत्पन्न नहीं हुई।

यह अजूबा हमारे पूर्वजों की धरोहर है।
