Photography or a single image I feel often captures those treasured moments in ones life, there is nothing quite like looking back and reflecting good or bad. But I also find that just like the act of writing our collective pictures can also be a art-form. The beauty and meaning of a photo can be expressed and shared in many ways including not even using a single word but instead just seeing what it makes you feel.

While I do enjoy photography I used to share those "everyday" type images that captures just those typical day to day activities, the feedback was mostly positive and so I continued sharing these "Ulog type" photos on Steemit.

Almost every picture as a story to tell right? Or at least that is what I was often been told by some of my followers when I first started sharing photos on here, and I would have to agree with them.

Last night I went to sleep just under the usual late hour, this is a shame as since doing the early shifts I have been improving my sleep pattern. Still at least compared to the previous night it was a improvement as I went past the hour. As for falling asleep this was quicker compared to yesterday, firstly it was very hot in my room even if it was actually cold outside, there was also the cat knocking on the door but this was only once before being put in another room to settle. When I did fall asleep I woke-up once during the night due to the heat, better than yesterday where I woke-up 3 times during the night. After this I only woke-up to my scheduled alarm, the alarm was set for later than usual to make sure I would have enough time to recover from much of the missed sleep yesterday. I rested past the alarm for longer than I would like. This was not a problem for today as I didn't have work to be in for but I did want to catch-up with chores as lately I have been working more. And if possible get a few more things done for my father. But to be honest the main plan I had for today was rather different as I wanted to plan a day out with friends at the park, this is because my next day off will only be next week and some of my friends will be leaving in under two 2 weeks and still this summer we have not done the park once. As for the weather this morning like yesterday it's very cloudy with the sun trying very much to break through, but still it's warm enough that it's a little uncomfortable. Basically the weather today will be playing a big part on whether or not we go to the park, like yesterday according to the forecast by the afternoon the clouds will mostly be clear. If the clouds don't clear I wont be planning to visit the park. But before that I had to send out messages to find out who was free and who was willing to go park. Again due to such long response times it was obvious there were some late sleepers and all messages were sent as it coming to 11 o'clock. After getting a few basic chores done it was already later than I wanted to leave but to be honest going any earlier would of been a gamble as it continued to be cloudy. I continuing on with chores before it was time for me to leave and meet with friends. With that I just about managed to get done some of the basic things I needed, but I didn't get half of what I wanted done. Before leaving I put my bag together ready for the park and changed to leave. With friends it was really nice to catch-up with them, we had some good chats, some of my favourite conversations were about family, pets, games and work. We did make our way to the park and honestly I had one of the best days, after spending a while at the park we went to get food to bring back there and honestly the food was so delicious. Just being out in the sun with friends at the park with such tasty food and great company way amazing. The only thing that could of made it better was having some iced drinks on a tap haha. Sadly one of my friends started to feel unwell, I think likely because of the heat and so I unfortunately had to hurry my food a little towards the end of it so we could leave. On the way back home we still stopped to get some ice-cream which was very nice, I was surprised by how warm it remained as when I did leave earlier some of the wind had relatively cold air I assumed by night time that would of continued but there was no wind. When I got home I thought some of the cats would still be out refusing to get indoors but luckily it was not the case. Going into my room it was still hot I went for a small dinner as it felt too hot to eat alot before settling for the night. On Steemit.com I'm glad to still see it working as it should, work on updating the look of the Steemit.com interface continues on for something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic and Alpha testing can be trialled. Today's Picture

As for the picture today I share some flower photography, a quick disclaimer I understand that this type of photography on Steemit has a bit of a bad reputation. This is because it was often used by spammers to make like 8 posts each day.
Hopefully as you can see from my blog I'm nowhere near making 8 or more posts per day on the subject of flowers.

I believe this was captured on the way to work, just before the first actual road crossing and around this time the weather was starting to get better. But if I remember correctly this was captured in the very early morning and so for the time it would still be icy. In this particular capture you likely can't tell due to it being a over-view but the stems are iced over, almost frozen, we will take a closer look next time.

I like how here if we take notice we can see better "the sleepers side" of the Common Ragwort, notice how on the right side you have a lot more open flowers compared to the left side where most are still closed. This is likely because those that have grown taller will unfreeze sooner and also be the first to get the most light.

But to break from that side those many happy faces of the Common Ragwort brings joy to us.

As we can see they are in clusters with flattened flower heads, they are a food source for many insects however they are said to contains many different alkaloids and thus making these a poisonous flower to certain animals. But it seems for a flower so common it's still very much not understood as in some cases it's been said to be used for medicine and that some animals are not affected by them.

I still believe these are indeed the Common Ragwort flower and while this is likely what they are the plant itself however does give me some doubts.
