The Taj Mahal is actually a mausoleum,made of ivory white marbles in loving memory of Mumtaz Mahal,a Persian princess and third wife of 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.
It was built on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the indian historic city of Agra.
Including this iconic tomb,The Taj Mahal complex consists of 42 acres area which also includes a mosque,a guest house and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated gardens.

Taj Mahal was started commissioning in 1632 AD by the order of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

This mausoleum is the finest example of true love and romance between two people .

The entire Taj Mahal Complex is believed to have built in 22years .
The main mausoleum took 10 years time periods to be built and in another remaining time, the decorations of Taj Mahal and other structures were believed to have finished.

The complete cost to build this enormous monuments was estimated around 32 million rupees at that time which is now equal to U.S $828 million.

To bring contrast in the monuments, red sandstones were used to build the gates ,the mosque and the guest room but the main tomb was made up of ivory-white marbles.

The unique design ,use of precious and semi precious stones from India and Asia as well as from Iran for decorations of the mausoleum and the blend of Indo-Islamic Architectural pattern ,perfect architectural planning and execution,the unmatched symetry and engraving different quotes and flowers on the wall of Taj Mahal make it a outstanding masterpiece in art and craftsman of all time.

It is also considered as the perfect example of Mughal era architecture.

4 years back,I got a chance to visit this iconic and wonderful masterpiece and I become amazed and mesmerized with the beauty,glow and the grandure of this fantastic place.

I am really not a good writer and I am not an architect so i do not dare to describe its eternal beauty and architectural pattern.

But what i actually realized after visiting this grand monument ,I am trying to describe now.
One who has normal aesthetic sensibilities will surely feel a magical attraction after visiting this wonderful monuments.

The color combination of lush green scape, reddish paths ,blue water in front side pool and Yamuna river behind and blue sky over it showcases the monuments in ever changing moods and tints.

It is said that over 20,000 artisans were requisitioned from the whole of the empire and also from Central Asia and Iran for making and decorating this huge mausoleum in the leadership of main architect Ustad-Ahmed lahori.

It was designated UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE for being "the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage" in 1983 on cultural Criteria : i in the 7th incription session.

Taj Mahal is the epitome of love and monuments of immeasurable beauty.
The beauty is so magnificent that its beyond the scope of words.

Taj Mahal remains open all day(except Friday) from sunrise to sunset .
Winter season ie November,December,January and February is the best time to visit it.
There is also an option to visit Taj Mahal at night for only 5 days in a month.
The full moon night and the two days before and after of it.

About 7-8 million people around the world come to visit this majestic monuments every single year.

The Taj displays its different moods through different shades.The Taj is pinkish in the morning,milky white in the evening,golden in the moon light and intermediary variets during different times in a day and different seasons in a year. That is the most significant part of the monuments.

It is also in the list of 7 wonders in the world's best heritage and architectural sites.
