The Equinox is almost here!
This year the Equinox of March will be today (March 21) at the 10:58 PM, so just some minutes hour and here in Italy will start the Springtime!
It's really excited to think that on the Equinox day, night and day are an equal (approximately equal ^_^) duration all around the world!
Here in Italy we call it equinozio, it's similar to the English word equinox because both of them came from the latin aequinoctium, a word that means "equal night".
Note: You have to know that I studied latin when I was a student in the Scientific High School and even if my latin was not excellent, I love how this ancient language sounds when someone read a book in Latin.
Here in my area we don't use to celebrate this day, but there are a lot of old traditional event for the Summer Solstice.
