The photographic appointments #11 : Annie Leibovitz

Anna Leibovitz, born in 1949, is an American photographer specializing in portraits of celebrities.
His style is characterized by highlighting the glamor of his models (who are usually stars of cinema, music or politics) and their ostensible aesthetics, always highlighting a detail related to the character's own life or To its public news.

The portraitist on order for magazines (Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Vogue) or brands (Louis Vuitton, Lavazza). These photographs are generally very worked, both at the time of the shooting and post-production. The photographer is thus surrounded by a substantial team (lighting, accessories and stylists). The framing is generally of a classical design, the scenography is theatrical inspiration and the position of the bodies (especially in its group compositions, in broad plan) could be compared to the Baroque style.

Glamor is the sensation sought by photography, which involves the eroticization of bodies, even when the latter does not lend itself to it a priori: this is the case of the cliché of Demi Moore, nude and pregnant, which Caused a scandal in the United States when it appeared.
