How to click amazing macro pictures with just a basic dslr and no special equipment

Hello steemians! In this post I'm gonna be talking about an inexpensive, quick and simple hack to get beautiful bokehlicious macro photos a basic dslr and a basic lens this technique or trick is called "The lens reversal technique" . The Lens reversal technique is cheap alternative or free alternative to get super macro shots without an expensive cameras or specialized equipment I'll show you an example of my shot using reverse lens technique.

This was shot on a Nikon d3200 with a reversed 50 mm f/1.8g. Using only natural light and I made corrections to the raw file on lightroom 6.1. Reversal technique is cheap and effective and very simple if you get the knack of it.

Steps to follow :

Remove the lens from the body. Flip it over to have the front element(glass) of the lens against the body and the other side pointing to the subject. If you are shooting nikon the lens will have a tiny lever on the backside of the lens a small stick you can push. If you push it you notice the aperture blades open and close. Push the lever to open the lever and let light enter the lens and fall on the mirror of your camera.. Position the lens at the center or else you'll get a dark or blur image. Vary shutter speed to get proper exposure. My suggestion is bump up the iso because you'll need a good shutter speed to freeze the image. Don't open the aperture completely (don't push the lever fully.. Leave it to close down just a wee bit). This will give each you really good result. If you have a hassle holding the lens buy a macro reversal ring it will help you mount your reversed lens onto the body. And you won't risk dropping it. The above image is an example. If you have ring lights you can use it or you can use a light source like a torch covered with a white sheet of paper to diffuse the harsh light. If you have soft boxes it will be amazing. But my image was shot without any artifical light and no reverse ring. I reversed the less and shot it hand held. for Canon lenses you need to set the aperture via the camera settings (because Canon lenses have an electronically controlled aperture) and then remove the lens from the body and reverse it. I'm gonna attach two images of a same subject with and without reversal (using same lens and camera as mentioned above)

This is the image clicked when I used the lens reversal technique.

This technique requires a bit of practice and is slightly difficult but it still is a very useful and effective technique to get the job done. Please do upvote and comment. Feel free to ask any doubts regarding this, I will try my best to clear them up. All suggestions are most welcome as I would love to improve. I'd like to conclude by sharing one more image clicked using the same technique. I hope this helps you, keep shooting. Cheers, have a nice day
