Try to think of it as an inherent trait. People either have the photographer eye or they don't. Just like hand eye coordination for basketball, knowing how to include people in a conversation, or pattern recognition for spotting a particular type of bird in a tree. These can all be improved upon and they're trying for you, but they just don't got "it".

I constantly found myself bugged when people didn't get certain things fast enough but realizing this definitely helped.

Still annoying to get crap photos though.
