I was walking around the Wanhua District of Taipei City when I stumbled into this neat little temple surrounded by modern buildings.

The temple was constructed in 1787 and is mainly dedicated to the god Qingshui Zushi, who was a monk from Anxi, in Fujian province of southern China.
Below, locals are having a good time around the temple entrance.

The ceiling section of the entrance shows the name of the temple among beautifully decorated beams.

Inside is a bell that is used for ceremonies. The decorative artwork in here is even more intricate.

The temple has been renovated and restored to maintain the original architectural style and is in quite good condition.
Overall, I recommend giving this temple a visit if you're in the area. It is a nicely maintained temple with beautiful architecture and not overrun with tourists. Most tourists visit the more popular Lungshan Temple nearby, which is only a 7 min walk away.
