in #photography5 years ago

Hello that such friends steemians!

I hope you are in good health and Sunday peace reach them on this day, where I bring you to show some beautiful flowers that I love since childhood, it reminds me a lot when we brought flowers to my grandmother, always in the bouquet we put this flower velvet called Celosia.

Its original name is Celosia, but in Mexico they call it Velvet Flower, in Spain they call it Cockscomb and in Nigeria soko yokoto which means "Make your husband fat and happy", it is very funny this last name since it is also used for different dishes such as stews, the leaves have a flavor similar to spinach and also as a spicy accompaniment.

The Celosia are from the Amaranth family and here I bring you a photograph of the Violet Plumose Amaranth, they have a resemblance in the softness of the leaves but the shape is different, these of Feathery Amaranth are longer and are usually small.

Blessings and may the peace of God always accompany you ...
