📷 Stupa of Enlightenment. Ogoy Island. Lake Baikal

When I first visited Baikal, I saw this amazing structure - the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment — only from afar. I call it amazing not because of the size or some unusual architecture, but because of its surroundings — it is located on the island Ogoy, not far from the famous island Olkhon in the Small Sea of Lake Baikal. These places are filled with power, and the wind seems to whisper some words.

I dreamed of getting here at the sunset, and recently it happened. A small motorboat brought us to the island in the October autumn evening at a time when there was not a single person here. Only me, Olga @kibela and the fisherman who agreed to this adventure. The last rays of the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, and the sky flashed pink for a few minutes. I stood, amazed by the view, and whispered aloud: "How beautiful it is!"
