📷 Pura Tanah Lot — Temple on the Rock

In Indonesia, on the island of Bali there is an unusual temple of Pura Tanah Lot or "Temple of the Earth". It is located on a rock and you can get there only when the sea recedes. The rest of the time, the narrow isthmus is overwhelmed by waves.

According to legend, the temple was built by the Hindu brahman Nirarthi in the fifteenth century, who came to the island along the way, which was indicated by the divine light coming from the spring striking from the rocky shore of the Tanah Lot. This trickle has survived until now, its water is considered curative.
