📷 Iceland. Frozen lava flow at the Frostastaðavatn lake

in #photography6 years ago

On the way to the colored mountains of Iceland Landmannalaugar you should pass along the shore of the Frostastaðavatn lake. There is an interesting place where it seems that the slope has melted in the sun and flows directly into the lake.

By the way, the green slopes are not grass, but relict moss, the traces on which remain for a very long time. Icelanders are asking tourists not to leave the roads and not to leave the paths. This beauty is too fragile.

Observation deck, offering a wonderful view of the crater of the volcano Stutur.

The panorama of the coast of the lake and mountains, including the lava flow and the crater of the volcano, is glued together from 8 horizontal shots. But it is better to watch it in high resolution — 3000x616px.
