Tree squirrels, for the most part, eat nuts, seeds and organic product, however, they are omnivores. Dim squirrels, for instance, have been known to eat bugs, snails, winged animal eggs and creature bodies when other sustenance is rare.

There is a wide range of types of squirrel locally found in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa. Squirrels are little rodents for the most part between 10 cm and 20 cm tall, albeit a few types of squirrel-like marmots and prairie mutts around the span of a little beaver.
