Giants and Monsters
The earth was first populated with giant beasts and monsters, wooly mammoths and saber toothed tigers. Birds the size of houses circled overhead, picking off humans like little rats. Our survival depended on battling these giants. We evolved fighting monsters.
We’ve consumed all of the monsters. Eaten all of the gods. They are inside of us. We must now stand before the giants in our heads. Our spears have shrunk to pencils, yet we still stab them at the pulp before us.
If the spear is now a pencil and the pen a sword, then I’m typing on a war machine. I thought my way into these problems, so hopefully I can write my way out.
