RE: Flowers from the Hood with a Fake Botanist

I loved this. The Violet Blur, the Petalis Clusterus and the Triple triple? I actually think those should be real names. You and @Totallysacha have exactly the same light-touch wit regarding plants. He calls everything a 'strinthium' as it's a mix of the latin names he's overheard me use, and to anyone who knows nothing about plants he occasionally convinces them he know what he's on about! Wish I'd joined before you posted this so could resteem and keep it!

Wait a second here...

Are you telling me that those aren't the names of the flowers? I mean - I'm clearly no professional, but shouldn't the names of stuff actually make sense?

I am disappoint.

Disappoint? Far from it - you've inspired us David. We're already renaming things in our garden to match your far more %effective naming convention.

By the by, did you know that's also why Ikea give their furniture such descriptive names? Apparently one of the founders wasn't big on numbered stock coding, so went with a 'what the frigging thing did' title instead. GENIUS

(%the Latin names are actually meant to be descriptive, but only help if you a) know that and b) speak Latin!)

Loving your work fella, keep that winning wit and I'll definitely keep returning!
