Ancient Power
One of the most striking images I have in my mind is the snapping sound the jaw of a Saltwater Crocodile makes as it looks to snag a snack.
One of my goals was to see one of these ancient wonders in the wild however due to weather restricting my travel plans I had to settle for see them in the Steve Irwin Zoo. I have spoken about zoos in previous post and I will be writing about my thoughts and feelings regarding this zoo in a post soon.
But I digress back to the crocodiles, as a diver I was blown away by their power, speed and ability to move in the water. The small demonstration put on by some of the staff at the zoo wowed the audience and myself included. The animals are truly throwbacks to a time where humans were not the most dangerous thing on the planet. This was my first interaction with crocodiles and they are as impressive in every way that people say they are.
If your in Australia I recommend visiting the zoo to see the crocs. I plan at some point to return to Australia and travel to the northern territory to try to see these wonderful animals in the wild.
Thanks for reading.

What a Monster! son of the wild nature:)
What makes crocodiles so dangerous is that they attack incredibly quickly and they take their victims under the water to drown them. They usually attack in the water, but they can suddenly come out of a river and attack animals or people, and they can run on land at 17km/h.
