Tokyo Disneyland is the first Disneyland park built outside of the USA and opened on 15th April 1983. It encompases 115 acres of land and is easily accessible by train from downtown Tokyo. We visited in the summer of 2014 on a very hot and humid day.

Toontown

Toontown is a kids heaven. The home of Mickey and Minnie can be found here and there are lots of things to do and play with here for the kids. Photos with Mickey and Minnie are mandatory when you visit this section of the park.

It's a Small World Ride

This is a great little ride on a floating boat through a canal with lots of different worlds visited and of course the world famous song places throughout the ride.

Big Thunder Mountain Rollercoaster

Probably one of the only 'thrill rides' in the main park that was available. As we had little ones, and the crowds and lines were enormous, we skipped this one for another time.

Tea Cup Ride

An institution at Disneyland. We couldn't go past this ride without having a turn. Definitely not a ride for those with a heart condition!

Tomorrowland

A futuristic section of the park that includes Buzz Lightyear's ride, it was my favourite section of the park.

Disney Parade

The parade is always a hit at any theme park. This one was one of the best I have ever seen. The kids loved every minute of it and wanted to sit and wait until every single float had been by. It is so popular that people secured positions along the route a few hours before the parade even began!

Cinderella's Castle

A girls dream. This castle also holds Cinderella's lost slipper and a throne room. It is the iconic castle synonymous with Disneyland resorts across the globe.

There are many other areas of the park that I haven't covered in this post. A visit to Disneyland Tokyo is well worth the visit, particularly if you have children. We enjoyed every moment and will be visiting again.

Thanks for reading.

I think I've been on almost all of those, but it was a long time ago (I was 4) and we went to the one in America XD

Looks like awesome fun times for the kids, how did the parents go? ;D

We toughed it out. It was a long tiring day and our youngest was only 10 months old too.
