Alfredo says good morning / Alfredo sagt guten Morgen
This morning Alfredo gave me a visit, SHE is a pigeon I found when she was a baby. (I had the gender wrong as you might have recognized by the text :D ...) I could not find the nest or something, so i picked her up, took her home with me and raised her - for those who could ask why a pigeon would give me a visit ;)
Heute Morgen hat mir Alfredo einen Besuch abgestattet, SIE ist eine Taube, die ich als Baby gefunden habe. (Wie vielleicht am Text bisher schon zu erkennen habe ich anfangs ihr Geschlecht falsch bestimmt :D ...)Da ich kein Nest oder ähnliches finden konnte, habe ich die kleine mit nach Hause genommen und aufgezogen - also für die jenigen die sich wundern, warum eine Taube mich besuchen sollte ;)

Meanwhile she is living outside with her husband (met him while flying around outside :) ), but she often stops by to spent some time, grab some food or even to take a bath in her "safe-zone" while visiting her "family" xD
I learned a lot about pigeons and they are great animals with a long history at humanity´s side, but very "missunderstood" these days. Take a closer look next time you see one. In my opinion they are nearly like parrots in a more crazy, but still very intelligent behaveing way and with a pointed beak.
Mittlerweile lebt sie draußen mit ihrem Mann (traf ihn draußen beim Fliegen :) ), aber sie kommt öfters auf einen Besuch vorbei um etwas Zeit zu verbringen, was zu essen oder sogar ein Bad in ihrer "Safe-Zone" zu nehmen, während sie ihrer "Familie" einen besuch abstattet xD
Ich habe sehr viel über Tauben gelernt und sie sind großartige Tiere mit einer sehr langen Geschichte an der Seite der Menschheit, aber sehr "missverstanden" dieser Tage. Schaut bei eurer nächsten Begegnung mal genauer hin. Meiner Meinung nach sind sie fast wie Papageien, aber in einer verrückteren, dennoch sehr intelligenten Art und Weise von ihrem Verhalten und eben halt einem spitzen Schnabel.

How old is Alfredo? @schlees
She´s about 1 year (little less), but i don´t know exactly to be honest, have no idea how old she was when i found her (under 1 month i think)
One of my friends says that pigeon is a really romantic bird with lot of boy friends, and she doesn't like to be called as a bird. She thinks she has her own personality. Is it true ? @schlees

they are romantic birds, but they normally have one partner they live with/breed/+++ until one of them dies and sure, like every animal, pigeons have a lot of own personality - even a fish or insects have theyr own personality, you just need to take a closer look and forget about the thinking that you are different in any way, like in every situation, there is just the difference you make ;)
