British called Shillong the ‘Scotland of the East'
Shillong is the capital and biggest town of Meghalaya state (INDIA).
Shillong is situated in the midst of lavish green surroundings in a standout amongst the most excellent conditions of the nation. Meghalaya happens to be one of the wettest places on the planet and is loaded with lovely, cloud-kissing green slopes that are an incredible sight.
I visited Shillong, different occasions. It is one of my most loved place. I adored visiting Shillong Peak, Umiam lake, Elephant falls and Lady Hydari Park. I crave visiting again and once more. It is such a superb place, one can't believe, once they visit.
Hypnotizing cascades, completely clear lakes and amazing mountains make up the city of Shillong. It is the capital of Meghalaya and a perfect place to loosen up in the midst of regular magnificence and peacefulness. Cherrapunji, one of the wettest place on earth, is just 56 km from Shillong. In 1897, a solid seismic tremor had nearly wiped out the city of Shillong. The general population of Meghalaya modified the city again with sheer assurance and diligent work.
There are various great eateries in Shillong, the vast majority of them situated in the Police Bazaar zone. You will discover great quality Chinese, Indian and Tibetan cooking.
Shillongs lively market offers some astounding road nourishment going from noodles to momos. One stroll down Police Bazaar will abandon you spoilt for decision.
The most unmistakable city of the state, Shillong attracts visitors from everywhere throughout the world. Winter is an extraordinary time to be in the upper east as the climate is to a great degree lovely and perfect for investigating all the stunning attractions.
