I often wonder what happens to snails when the spring doesn't come soon enough for them to wake up. To reproduce at the right time. Especially In the geographic zones i visited in North Africa. I have seen many kinds of snails in many sizes.
I have read things about them but never went into deep with this. I have read mostly about the african giant snail. Here is what i basically found :

Giant African Land Snail – Achatina fulica

The Giant African Snail is a 20 cm long snail native to Africa, and it is one of the largest snail species. In some places, it is considered an invasive animal because of its high reproduction rate and the voracious appetite for crops and vegetation.

I don't know if any study has been done about the snails in North Africa , as in #Morocco, #Algeria, #Mauritania, #Tunisia,#Egypt. But on the picture above, there is a snail i shot in the garden about a month ago, and i wonder if any of you happen to know what type it is of if you have any other information about snails in North Africa.

Unfortunately, there isn't much to find about this region in matter of scientific studies, due to the lack of ressources in order to conduct decent researches in certain or most of the fields.

I mean i wish there was more content, i would like to invite all content creators who are interested in spreading a word of awareness about the others creatures who share our world. More smart posts giving us smart info about

I would really appreciate your help, any information, any resteeem or upvote :) !
