Turquoise cicada

I have never seen such an amazingly coloured cicada before. I thought they were just brown! Every day uncovers more and more treasures in the natural world.

Hewan ini banyak terdapat di tempat saya, orang saya biasa menyebut nama nya Dede khung(tenggereng) Sewaktu kecil dedek khung ini suara kami jadikan sebagai alat musik trAdisional 6ang di tangkap dan dimasukan je dalam kotak kecil, lalu di congkel dengan memakai lidi daun kelapa. hewan ini termasuk kedalam kelompok insekta dan bagian dari jenis-jenis serangga. tenggereng ini banyak jenis-jenisnya hampir sampai dua ratusan lebih.

This animal is mostly in my place, my people used to call his name Dede khung (tenggereng) As a small dedek khung this sound we make as a traditional music instrument 6ang captured and entered je in a small box, then in the congkel with a stick coconut leaves. this animal belongs to the insect group and part of the types of insects. These tenggereng many kinds-its kind almost up to two hundreds more.

oh wow that is beautiful! ive never seen one before in a photo, i thought they were darker coloured, we dont have them in england but we have 'dragonflys' which are similar colour :)
