My first anthem. The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody
I think possibly my life changed when I heard this song for the first time. Haha What nonsense you say. If you have never heard it then you must listen and you will understand why I feel that way.
For me the exceptional vocal talent of The Righteous Brothers makes this song one of the most outstanding performances of all time.
It was a long time ago back in 1967............ I was young and impressionable =)
And my young ears heard this emanating from our black and white television.....
Yes I was very young at the time but I remember when I heard this as well it is truly a powerful song
it sure is =)
Wow, that brought back memories! What a rich and powerful song. I was only knee high to a grass hopper when I first heard it. It has been a recurring theme song in my life.
Excellent! Glad to hear it brought back some nice memories too.
Thnx sallybeth, I liked Elvis's cover of this too. Great song
thanks - yes Elvis did an amazing version - but then everything he did was amazing! haha
I had a feeling I'd heard some other version of it too, maybe Aaron Neville??? But this is such a fabulous classic, I think I need to choreo something to it for the ladies in my arthritis exercise class. Thanks for reminding me about it!
thanks for your lovely comment - the class would love to exercise to this I am sure - is they don't break down in tears - I find it so moving! lol
Thanks again - I am following your blog too now looks very interesting
