Today is Independence Day here in Costa Rica. I thought what better than a good long walk along the beach road and through the village. Here are some of the sights I enjoyed along the way.
The waves were bigger than average today and the surfers were having incredible fun in the water. Everyone’s energy was really on fire! Screams and whoops of happiness could be heard up and down the beach as these were some of the fastest waves of the year!
The sun was super hot and cooling off in the water was essential.

Aww such lovely calming and energising photos:) I love the second picture, looking through the small gap and imagining what’s on the other side. Plus I love the orange of that flower! Flowers are so beautiful especially when you find them walking naturally, I think they’re a bit overlooked as they’re so easy to purchase, but they’re some of the most beautiful plants on earth! I love wild flowers:)

Hi there! Thanks for such wonderful thoughtful comments. The flowers are magical and from all my research so far, all the flowers and plants I have found have medicinal uses - it seems literally EVERY plant here is an effective medicine. It is quite jaw dropping to think about!
The waves were particular big today and super fast and it was infectious to hear the energy of these happy people whooping and screaming with excitement. Every person I passed greeted me with an HOLA or a PURAVIDA, it has to be one of the most friendly places I have ever experienced.
