Meditation in the hollow of an old oak tree. History of this place

in #photography7 years ago

The tree in which Thirteen years meditated the  ASHRAM PILOT BABA JI.

This is a large tree, unfortunately its top has lost its life, due to time.

Baba meditated to work with the mind and the body. The body and the mind are tools. When you completely exclude all asanas and pranayama, then the meditation process begins. Meditation can also be through a mantra. There are many ways to meditate, but all this is not right. If you do not give up any methods of meditation, you can never know the true essence of yourself. In meditation there are no boundaries. This is the work of the mind. The mind has great power. Meditation is freedom. Through meditation one can come to liberation, enlightenment, samadhi.

Meditation is the great science of liberation. The real purpose of meditation is life for the sake of others.

Vishnu is "penetrating into everything." Vishnu is worshiped directly, but it is possible through his avatar, known as Krishna and Rama. Vishnu is one of the five basic forms of God. He is the maintenance of dharma and the destruction of evil. Vishnu sometimes descends to this world in the form of avatars to punish villains and protect the good of people.

Vishnu is usually depicted in a human form with four hands, in his hands he holds four attributes:

  • Mace
  • Lotus flower
  • Chakra
  • Sink

His skin is blue, but can be blue or black, his clothes are yellow, he himself lies on the giant multi-headed snake Shesh in the waters of the Causal Ocean.

The image of Vishnu dates back to the Indo-Iranian times.

Vishnu takes the form of a deity known as the Purusha or Mahapurusha, or Shesha, in which all living beings rest. Vishnu is "possessed of all possessions."

It has favorable qualities, of which six main ones stand out:

  • Jnana (knowledge)
  • Aisvarya (wealth)
  • Shakti (power)
  • Ball
  • Virya (courage)
  • Tejas (splendor).

A place of worship for Shiva

In Hinduism there are two currents - Vishnuism and Shaivism, named for the deities worshiped by Vishnu and Shiva. Vishnu and Shiva are included in the three of the gods of India - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. By its strength, it is the same, but the direction of their activities is different. Brahma is the creator of the world, Vishnu is the guardian of the world, and Shiva is the destroyer of the old world, so that his renewal may take place. Shiva appears forgiving, merciful, giving hope and protection. He fought with demonic forces, Shiva destroyed by the asuras created by demons. Brahma agreed to erect three fortress cities for the sons of the Traka demon. One in the sky, one in the air and one on the ground, they could be exterminated only with the help of witchcraft, a shot of an arrow. The demons decided to defeat the gods and take their place. Then Shiva with one shot burned three cities, prevented the victory of evil over good. Shiva dance creates the world, but there is a period when his dance contributes to its destruction. The first Shiva began to worship the Dravidians who inhabited India.

Shiva is depicted with various attributes that symbolize the power of his image:

The body is exposed and covered with ashes - it goes beyond the bounds of earthly life without suffering.

His hair is tangled - these are three energies:

  • Spiritual,
  • Physical
  • Mental.

Ganga, in his hair - it's his wife, her mouth is running out of water. It is a symbol of that, with the help of the wife of Shiva, he removes sins and gives peace, purity and knowledge.

In his hair, the moon is the control of the mind.

Siva has three eyes:

  1. The eye is the sun,
  2. Eye - the moon,
  3. The eye is a symbol of fire.

His half-open eyes are a symbol of the infinite flow of life, in which there is no beginning or end-a cyclic process. If Shiva opens his eyes, a new life will begin, if he closes them completely - the world is destroyed to be born.

The snakes that encircle the neck symbolize time past, present and future.

Beads from dried fruits of an evergreen tree - a symbol of inflexibility in the implementation of the law.

The right hand of God gives blessing and wisdom, he destroys evil by it.

The trident is his three energies: knowledge, action and desire.

The drum is a symbol of form - physical and spiritual.

Bull Nandi, he accompanies Siva - this is his constant means of transportation.

The skin of a tiger - symbolizes hidden energy.

Sitting on the burned earth is a symbol of control of Shiva over physical death.

Shivapuri-baba

Shivapuri-Baba spent his last years of life on the land of Nepal. His physical body he left at the venerable age of 137 years. His samadhi in the form of a temple is located in the forest of Bengali, located not far from the temple of Pashupatinatha. He is buried according to the santian tradition.

When the Shivapuri-Baba lived on Mount Shivapuri, the meal ended. Baba, lit a fire - dhuni, and sitting in a lotus position, meditated. And Madhav-badge came down from the mountain to get food. Madhav-badji fell ill with dysentery and did not climb the mountain for a week. A week later he started to climb the mountain to bring food, then he saw sitting at the fire Shivapuri-baba in the same position as he sat a week ago. Hearing a rustle from Madhav-baja's walk, Shivapribiba-Baba opened his eyes and asked why he was still here and did not go down to eat.

He was born with a smile in his mouth, and Shivapuri-Baba left the life with an easy heart, saying good-bye to his disciple. He is present before those who believe in him. The feeling of his presence will remain forever.

We prepare the oil Gee. This is a purified cow ghee. One of the important Ayurvedic substances.

It is also called Ghi. Geha oil in Ayurveda is considered a divine product.

On Mount Shivapuri there is a monastery of Nagi Gompa. This is the first monastery built in Nepal in the mid-sixties of the twentieth century. His Holiness the Sixteenth Gyalwa Karmapa arrived at the ceremony of consecration of the temple (rabnai). To deliver His Holiness was on a helicopter, since at that time in the area of

Shivapuri was not held any roads. Altar decorates three statues of Buddha Shakyamuni, Guru Rinpoche and the Third Karmapa, Ranjung Dorje. In Nagi Gompa in the room was made a lot of initiations and a lot of exercises, the famous masters took part. Nagy Gompa is a women's monastery, here live about a hundred nuns. View from the monastery on Kathmandu and the valley. This is a warm place, here morning mists, singing nuns.

The village is nearby.
