in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Many people thinking of Majorca can imagine a myriad of loud discotheque music and endless parties. Is this true? The answer is yes and no! It all depends on where you choose your holiday.

When planning your accommodation in the north-east of the island, be sure to find no streets full of nightclubs, such as in Lloret de Mar, Alicante, Tenerife, Croatian Pag, or Greek Rhodes. Of course, in cities like Puerto d'Alcudia there are night clubs where you can go out, dance and have fun, but they are not so numerous and famous.

So if your main goal is to rest in the day and party at night, it is best to look for accommodation in the south west of Majorca, with El Arenal, Magaluf and of course the capital of the island.

Below you will find nightlife in Palma de Mallorca, featuring the best discos, interesting bars and restaurants.

Nightlife zones in Palma

Palma, alive and always busy during the day, after dark, does not go to sleep. Late evening the restaurants and tapas bars are full of guests who have gone out for dinner, a beer or a colorful drink.

If you are interested in discovering the nightlife in Palma, you should go to these parts of the city:

Zona de Casco Antiguo - the narrow streets of the old town, right next to the beautiful cathedral, hide numerous bars, pubs with live music and an interesting gastronomic offer. The most interesting places are concentrated around La Lonja.

Paseo Maritimo - the most refined part of the city, right on the seafront, where you will find luxurious, elegant venues, live performances (mostly blues, jazz and year) or famous disco open for a long time.

Plaza Gomila - is a small but very complete center for night entertainment, with more local vibes, live music and always full bars.

Disco clubs and clubs

Lovers of clubbing and discos are primarily directed at Av. De Gabriel Roca, the so-called. "Paseo Maritimo", a street running along the harbor. In the day it seems quite calm, but at dusk comes to life, illuminates with colorful neon colors, and numerous bars, discos and famous clubs fill visitors looking for entertainment. What are they connecting? Definitely multi-nationality! Lots of tourists from all over Europe (mainly Germans, Englishmen, Frenchmen, Poles and Scandinavians), other parts of Spain as well as islanders (mallorquines).

Titos - this place can be described as the symbol of Mallorca's nightlife. The most famous disco in the city, already since the 50's, guests are packed with celebrities and celebrities as well as tourists looking for good entertainment. Three levels, diverse music, lasers, several bars, VIP-room, spacious terrace, frequent show with artists or half-naked dancers ... everyone will find something for themselves! In summer open daily. The admission is from a dozen euros in normal days to several dozen on important occasions.

Armpit

The second disco in Palma enjoyed great popularity. Pacha's symbol is two cherries. There are also famous DJs and celebrities here. On the three levels you will find the main room with music on time, besides the Funky Hall, Chill Out Zone, VIP Zone, restaurant, several bars, and even a Pacha shop!

Other discos

El Divino, another trendy place located on the seafront promenade, which offers you an unforgettable crazy night. The place is very glamorous, with a modern spirit and decoration elaborated in every detail. DJs from home and abroad play the best commercial, house and techno music. The Boulevard Maritimo Club is on a similar level.

You can also take a look at Templo Buddha Bar-Discotheque with Buddhist temple decor, time-based music and free admission. Fridays and Saturdays are filled with party lovers, while cabaret monologues take place on Thursdays.

Do you like Latino rhythms? For salsa lovers, we recommend the "Made in Brasil" climate bar, also at Paseo Maritimo, where from 22:30 you can move your hips to the rhythm of hot music and order Caipirinha - a great Brazilian drink. You also have the opportunity to learn basic steps with the instructor!

Tips

Remember that in order to enter many premises you have to walk properly dressed! If we go in sports shoes or slippers, we can be turned back by the goalkeeper. And we will certainly feel weird - club guests dress quite positively.

Also be prepared for the fact that both the entrance to the more famous discos and the liquor at the bar will not be cheap ... Depending on the day and time, the ticket can cost us even 25-40 euros at Tito's or Pacha! (With welcome drink included). Of course, you will also find smaller places with free admission, where you can dance to reggaeton, salsa or pop rhythms. Watch people waiting in line for the club - so you'll know what climates you can expect inside.

And the last tip: the events are only about 1:00 am, and they end in the morning. So do not go too early to save energy for later fun! If you leave before 5:00, it's probably not fun ..

Shamrock Palma

The lively Irish bar offers a great atmosphere, game shows and tasty food and a great selection of beers! What sets Shamrock apart is the live music concerts (both local musicians and more famous bands) and every night! Great place to hang out with friends and listen to good rock, reggae, blues, soul, jazz and funky, and forget about the Irish accent. Get yourself an original Guinness and a wide selection of alcohols at the bar.

Atlántico Cocktail Bar

In the city center, near La Lonja, there is the Atlántico Cocktail Bar. As the name suggests, the place is worth a visit even for spectacular cocktails!

Also worth mentioning is the original decoration, referring to diving and travel. Earlier in this place was an American bar willingly visited by seafarers and fleet officers, and today there is still an international climate here.

Jazz Voyeur Club

In the heart of the old town of Palma, at La Lonja, you will find a very atmospheric venue for lovers of good live music. You can come for a drink or a glass of wine and relax listening to the concert. Admission is free, but bar prices do not fall into the lowest.

Abaco

The Abaco Bar is also worth mentioning in a beautiful 17th century building. We encourage you to visit this place because of the baroque atmosphere and the unique decoration: fountains, sculptures, cages, lots of candles. In the background classical and opera music is played, while the walls and tables are decorated with vegetables and fruit. But be prepared for the high prices of drinks.
