The Grand Canyon
On our way west to California we spent a few days in Williams, Arizona which is about 40 miles from the Grand Canyon. On one of the days, Sheila and I took a road trip up to the Canyon with another couple. It was a gorgeous day and I was able to take some great photos from the South Rim of the Canyon.
The 277 mile long Grand Canyon in Arizona is formed by the Colorado River carving its way through. The Grand Canyon is up to 18 miles wide and over a mile deep in places. The canyon exposes nearly two billion years of Earth's geological history.
Enjoy!
Beautiful photography and an amazing visit that day.
