Awesome Crimea: Jur-Jur waterfall
Jur-Jur is the most powerful and full-flowing waterfall in the Crimea (Russian Federation). Its name is translated as "Eternally murmuring" from the Crimean-Tatar language. It’s located near the city of Alushta.
Jur-Jur waterfall is worth to leave for a while the beach and go on for a short trip.
Jur-Jur falls from a height of 15 meters and has a width of 5 meters. Its noisy streams of water don’t subside even in the driest summer.
But it’s dangerous to swim under the waterfall! A lot of stones fall together with water. In addition, the volume of water is very large - 250-270 liters per second. Therefore, it’s better to take care of oneself and go to the cave Jur-Jur, which is located about 500 meters from the self-titled waterfall.
The waterfall is located in one of the reserves of the Crimean peninsula. This is a natural monument that leaves the most vivid impressions to the tourists who have visited it.
Jur-Jur is one of the picturesque places of the Crimea. The peninsula has natural wealth which impresses with its geographical, historical and cultural features, as well as its rich flora and fauna.
