Bavaria -- Sims Lake in April
It might be too cold to swim, but in April there's a chance to have your own private lake!
The "Simssee" or Sims Lake is just to the West of Bavaria's largest lake, the Chiemsee. If you've ever taken the train from Munich to Salzburg, you have passed by this lake. The Chiemsee has an area of about 1400 km² and the Simssee not quite 60 km², but the Simssee is long and narrow and this makes it seem larger than it actually is.
We drove over to enjoy the solitude of the off-season, and I let my wife relax on the shore while I took a few photos for you.

Der "Simssee" liegt westlich von Bayerns größtem See, dem Chiemsee. Wenn du jemals mit dem Zug von München nach Salzburg gefahren bist, bist du an diesem See vorbeigefahren. Der Chiemsee hat eine Fläche von ca. 1400 km² und der Simssee nicht ganz 60 km², allerdings ist der Simssee lang und schmal und wirkt dadurch größer als er tatsächlich ist.
Ich ließ meine Frau kurz allein am Strand während ich ein paar Fotos für euch machte.

Aber warum die extreme Bearbeitung? Oder woher kommen die ganzen Halos, die besonders auffällig bei den Bäumen sind? :)
For me it's all about feeling, trying to capture a dreamlike quality.
