Travel Gem #20: Enjoy These Panoramic Views of Mykonos / 享受米科诺斯岛的全景照片

As an avid traveler, I like to take my time to take photos of all the places I visit.   Today, I am taking a day off in Mykonos to indulge myself to shooting photos of this beautiful island.   I am not just shooting any photos at will but I have in mind to create panoramic photos so that you can also enjoy the stunning landscapes of this beautiful island. 

1.  Overlooking Mykonos Town from Castle Panigirakis  / 从城堡Panigirakis俯瞰米科诺斯镇

Standing at the Castle Panigirakis, you see this picturesque Mykonos Town with the panoramic views over the Aegean Sea.  The hike up the steep hill is certainly worth it to capture this stunning view of Mykonos.

2.  Little Venice 小威尼斯

This is the most romantic spot of Mykonos.  People gather here to watch the sunset.   Afterwards, you can eat in one of these restaurants to watch the night unfold before your eyes.  Before you know it, you see crowds and crowds of people here.   Relax and enjoy Greek seafood listening to the waves rolling in.  Here, you get uninterrupted view of the setting of the sun.

3.  Magical Sunset 魔法日落

The western side of the island gives you the best view of Mykonos magical sunset.  Hang around the Mykonos town, Saint John, Ornos, Agios Stefanos and Tourlos to get the most beautiful views.

4.  Bars and Restaurants - Night Parties at Mykonos Chora 酒吧和餐馆 - Mykonos Chora的夜晚派对

You find lots of bars in Mykonos with parties going on all night serving excellent cocktails, champagnes as well as Greek and international wines.    The night is loud and unstopped. 

 

5.  Mykonos Beaches 米科诺斯海滩

Go for a swim,  snorkel and soak up the sun. 

Get your camera out and start shooting panormaic photographs.  

Here are some simple tips to take panoramic pictures:

1.  Take a series of photos from left to right

2.  Make sure that each photo overlaps 30% so that you can stitch them nicely later

3.   Keep your camera level at the same place as you take these images 

That's it!  It is not difficult at all.  The difficulty lies in the after work where you use photoshop to stitch the photos up into a beautiful panoramic view.  In future posts, I will show you how to stitch these with photoshops and photo editors.

Another method is that  you can download apps to take panoramic photos. I am testing them and will later recommend a few for you.
