I’m overwhelmed by all the welcome comments I got on my first post. Thank you so much!
In this post I want to challenge you girls and guys!
As you probably saw I am a girl who does Downhill Skateboarding.
WHY YOU SHOULD DO A MEN DOMINATED SPORT
First I wanted to say that, no i am not a feminist haha. I mean yes I support my own gender but in an appropriate way. It would be great to make the boundaries for girls a lot lower in skateboarding. The ‘’You skate so well… for a girl’’ needs to go! I CHALLENGE EVERY GIRL ON THIS PLATFORM TO TRY SOMETHING SCARY THIS FEBRUARI! ! It doesn't t have to be skateboarding it can be whatever you prefer. Let me know what you did and how it went! I am super interested.
MY PASSION - DOWNHILL SKATEBOARDING
Downhill skateboarding or downhill longboarding involves riding down hills as fast as possible and keeping the board under control. The skater rolls down because of gravity.
To give an idea about that, this is me in austria:
After watching this you probably think that I have a deathwish. Not quite true ;) YOU CAN MAKE LIFE AS DANGEROUS IS YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF.
YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHEN TO STOP.
Downhill gave a such a confined boost! Around 1% of all the skaters on this planet are female. I don't mind that at all! Being around man all the time is a lot of fun actually!
The girls that are as passionate in skating as I am are actually all close friends of each other. We share the same love for speed and the community.
DO IT IN STEPS
- Find something you are scared about
- Tell yourself you are gonna do it anyway
- Look for a community
- Watch some Youtube videos to get inspired
- Get as much knowledge about it as possible
- Send it
