Nice mushrooms. I'm curious about this tradition - many of my Russian and Ukrainian students tell me that, every year they love going into the forest and collecting them, to make mushroom and potato stew. Maybe you could give us some information on which ones are good to eat and which aren't.
a lot depends on the climate and terrain. safe growing we have mushrooms of one species you have the climate and environment can cause poisoning , so I recommend to ask the old-timers in your area what mushrooms you can collect.
y, just about every year we hear stories of people getting sick (and sometimes with permanent effect) due to mushroom poisoning. It seems like a cool thing to do - like maybe crabbing or clam digging, but it's also that you better know what you're doing, which luckily it seems like @romanskv does.
try to find a community that together out in the woods for mushrooms. Media deliberately exaggerating that people do not go to the woods and did not create problems.... and mushrooms are the perfect replacement for meat and money saving and products.
