Description of my Airsoft Gear Sets / Part # 1

in #photography4 years ago (edited)

Hello and good time of the day ladies and gentlemen. Due to the situation that is happening all over the world, I have had enough time to resume my activity on Steemit. Therefore, I will start without further ado.

At the moment I am working on collecting two sets of equipment for my favorite branch of the USMC FORCE RECON. The first period is from 2011-2013 and 2014-2016, and in order not to get confused, let's call them the first period (2011-2013) and the second period (2014-2016). I must say right away that these two periods are very different from each other, so in the first there are also samples of equipment of older years and in the second there is already a huge amount of equipment, both regular and commercial, but there are also common ones, but there are few of them.

And so let's start with the head and gradually we will go down.

As a helmet, the first uses a MICH 2000 (Modular Integrated Communications Helmet), in the second it is an ACH (Advanced Combat Helmet) helmet.

Outwardly, there is practically no difference between them, except that ACH does not have those additional modules that MICH had and its weight is an order of magnitude lower. The helmet is equipped with ACH / MICH Helmet Rail from FMA. Very good quality. They can be used in real combat conditions. To install the night-vision device, I bought Universal Shroud from Norotos. In the first period, it occurs, but not as often as in the second, since everyone was already equipped with them.

MS 2000 was used as a night beacon in the first period. In the second period they were replaced by Manta Srobe or Hel-Star 6 strobe gen 2 or gen3 ...
Panama and Harrison Cover are used as headwear in both the first and second periods.

Uniform and shoes

As a form in both periods, a set of form FROG (Flame Resistant Organizational Gear) was used.

In the second period, there is a new generation of the form from the Crye Precision company, but it is very rare.

IMG_20210111_121240.jpg

This is due to the fact that this generation of the form has not yet entered into such a massive flow of production and procurement, but only several trial batches were released for testing.

While at base, everyone wears the MCCUU (Marine Corp Combat Utility Uniform).

The shoes are very different. These can be both contractual and commercial options. Of the contract ones, these are Bates, Dunner, Belleville.

Their feature is the emblem on the outside of the boot. Commercial boots are Asolo, Merrell, Lowa. In training, sometimes there are CWU 27 / P overalls in the color Tan.

Vests, Plate Carriers, Chest-rigs.

At the beginning of the first period, almost everyone wore the MBSS Plate carrier, RBAV (Releasable Body Armor Vest), RRV (Rhodesian Recon Vest), SPC
( Scalable Plate Carrier ).

In the second period, MBSS and RBAV were spotted on the USMC PC from KDH Defense Systems. As for the other vests and chest rigs, I have not yet been able to find enough photos to confirm that they are wearing any other new designs. In my case, this is an assembly for the first period in the form of MBSS in coyote brown.

I WANT TO NOTE THAT IN THE FIRST PERIOD, THE COLOR OF EQUIPMENT PREVAILS COYOTE BROW,TAN (ALL EXCEPT SHAPE, EXCEPT CWU 27 / P), AND IN THE SECOND PERIOD, EVEN MULTICAM ALREADY APPEARS.
In the first period, the USMC Sub Belt was used as a battle belt.

Weapons

I'll tell you about arms only for the main thing.
The first period differs from the second in small changes:
In the first, this is the M4A1 rifle, the Beretta M9 pistol, or the Colt 1911 MEUSOC is found. Rifle body kit is AN / PEQ 15,16, Eotech 552,553 collimator sights. Flashlights Surefire M951, M952. You can also find the M203 grenade launcher.

IMG_20210111_145107.jpg

IMG_20210111_145427.jpg

In the second, the same M4A1 as a rifle does not change, but a new body kit is added towards the end of 2016: ERGO M4 FORWARD RAIL, Eotech EXPS with Magnifier. The pistol was also replaced with a Colt M45A1.

That's basically it. There are many more details that can be told about, but this will be in the future. Let me remind you that I am working on collecting two sets of equipment for the period from 2011-2013 and from 2014-2016. At the moment, I actually have almost assembled a kit for the first period. From the second there are small details, but he will not show the general picture yet.
