Poffadder in Goegap Nature Reserve (Namakwaland, South Africa) By: Javier Ábalos Álvarez A classic encounter in the Succulent Karoo. I spent quite a long time at less than a meter from her, first building a small sandtower for my headlight, and then laying in the ground and taking a real avalanche of pictures! I could see my girlfriends headlight in the distance, and she was terrorized of encountering snakes, so I told her to come cause there was something she would love. It worked: close meeting and friends forever.
