Tour of the personal collection of Mario Calderon The house that every child would like to have, full of charm and color everywhere. This humble and peculiar house-museum is recognized in the State of Mérida, Venezuela. its owner is Mario Calderon, was born in Caracas in 1955, studied music and medicine but after a few years he began to work in what he always wanted, and that was when in 1988 he started to make wooden toys and founded in 1994 the workshop of Toys of the Pillar and since then he was dedicated to training and teaching workshops to learn this work.

His works are of great importance. from the culture and folklore born ideas to create new toys interpreting dances and entertainment from every place in the world.

I had the pleasure of visiting this space just one day before leaving for Caracas, it was a short but cozy tour. See Mr. Mario's incredible personal toy collection makes you travel in time no matter how old you are.
