Repeated pattern photographs
Hello fellow Steemians, @robertfretwell here again from Thailand. Repeated patterns most often provide a wonderful subject matter for photographers, especially when the pattern is interrupted. I have been photographing repeated patterns for many years, and have found some great content in both Vietnam and Thailand. The range of subject matter has been everything from arrangements in shops, coloured plastic drinking straws to temple offerings. If you like the pictures , please give positive feedback, and I will continue the series.

Outside a large Hindu temple in Silom, Bangkok, a group of sellers have stalls, with a range of temple offerings for sale.

Perhaps its the unfamiliarity which adds to the appeal? Maybe our eyes are drawn towards stuff we wouldn’t see in our own country? Walking along a road in the nightclub district of Bangkok one Saturday morning, outside a hardware store on the footpath, there were three displays laid out; one of hammer heads, one of hinges and one of bearings. Perhaps the hardware shop owner had a sense of humour and appreciation for irony, because if there was a metaphor to the choice of items in view of the location, all I could think of was : hammered, unhinged and lost my bearings.

Nice post, This patterns are interesting and a good joke from the hardware store. Upvoted.
Thanks @inseasia for the feedback. More repeated patterns to follow.
