Milky Way Over The Cascades

This is the best I've been able to do so far.  Do I need Photoshop to bring out the full potential or is there something I could do to improve my technique. Feedback welcome and appreciated.

    Nice photo! What was your camera settings if you don't mind me asking? Google has a phone app called Snapseed that is pretty good for adjusting photos. Adobe has the Lightroom app which is also nice. Snapseed is free but unsure if Lightroom is free.

      Thanks! I have a Nikon D5000. The ISOe was 800 and the Exposure was 30 seconds. I'll check out snapseed. All I have is Microsoft photo editor for color and contrast.
