25 quick DSLR Tricks to improve your Photography
Many tips and tricks you can do to improve your photography and get the best out of your DSLR. Here's our Top 25 which is the most overlooked trick. You probably know a lot about this but how often do you use this option?
Manual focus
There are some quality IQ cameras failing to determine the right place to focus. Just turn the manual focus switch ON and rotate the focus ring until you get it right. Also a faster way to get focused spot on. Most budget lenses have a slow focus system or a struggle to focus in low light. In wildlife photography both have advantages and disadvantages. Imagine a bird sitting directly behind several branches in the Tree, in which case the auto focus will mostly focus on the branch. Using manual focus will give you better control in such situations. There are other options for manual override in some models, where the camera will auto focus but you can change focus manually if not perfect.

Half presses the shutter button
This is some kind of hoax that most or you have not known or noticed by beginners. Camera shutter works on two levels. Half presses it locks focus and other settings and will give you a green or beep signal to let you know that the subject has been locked. Push it further down the image click. If you do not get a green signal forward after pressing half shutter, repeat. This feature is not available if you are in manual focus mode.

Adoption of dioptre eyepiece
People who use glasses can shoot without glasses. There is a small button for dioptre adjustment right near the view finder. You can change it to fit your eyeglass value and use it without glasses. Usually ranges from +3 to -3 or +5 to -5. So if you have been given a very high score then it is no use.

Custom Settings
If you want to shoot multiple subjects repeatedly in the same way, then you can set the settings on your camera on the special settings button on the mode dial. For example, if you take portraits regularly under the same lighting conditions, you can save the settings under special modes (C1, C2 for Canon and U1, U2 for Nikon).

AE-L / AF-L button
Your camera can lock auto focus and auto exposure when you half-press. To require separate AE-Lock and AF-Lock keys? Because we can decide separately to lock exposure or focus and not both.

High ISO
It is generally not recommended to use a very high ISO but your DSLR camera is usually able to exceed ISO 6400. Increased ISO value increases the sensitivity of sensors inside the camera. This means being able to see even in darker situations. But since you will increase the ISO value, the number of seeds in the image will also increase. In some total darkness situations, at least it will give you something. There is better than nothing. In addition you can reduce graininess in post-processing.

SRGB vs RGB
SRGB is the world standard for digital images, printing and the internet. As long as you have not messed up anything, you and the world are filming on sRGB.
RGB or Adobe RGB squeeze colors into smaller ranges (make them dull) before recording them to your files. The special smart software is then required to extend the color back to where it should be when opening the file. Adobe RGB might represent a slightly larger color range, but no screen or printed material that you will use in everyday life can show this wider range, so why cause all the problems?
