Tromso- The Paris of the North

The city of Tromsø is named after the island of Tromsøya, on which it stands. The last element of the city's name comes from 'island' (Norwegian: øy, Danish: ø), but the etymology of the first element is uncertain. Several theories exist.

Sure is that Tromso is cosidered the gateway access to the north pole and is one of the most tourist city to scouting the mystic northern lights.

But let me tell you one thing; spend some time to walk through the city and discover all the stunning places that it can offer and don't forget to go uphill at the top of Fjellheisen mountain where during the clear days it can offer you one of the most beautiful panorama that you ever seen!
