If you're in Galway and you enjoy walks in magical woods, then I recommend you to visit a wood that is just inland from Spiddal. park here: 53.268995, -9.301136 and then walk into the woods on the other side, it's a complete oaky mossy magic wonderland with a pretty river at the far side of the wood.
I used to work as an ecologist surveying native woodlands all around Ireland, this was one of my favourites!
