[September 21, 2018] Penn Wood at Rustin Football Game - Half Time Show
Please help us show off Steem's potential in our community by supporting our quest to raise funds to reimburse the band boosters for one band member's travel from Pennsylvania to Florida for this year's Citrus Bowl Parade.

On September 21, the Patriots from Penn Wood High School came to Rustin for a football game against the Golden Knights. This is our second photo essay from the game. The first one was, [September 21, 2018] Penn Wood at Rustin Football Game - Dance Team and Visting Musicians.
In this post, we follow up with a photo essay from the Rustin marching band's half time performance. The band is still expanding their show, getting ready for upcoming marching band competitions, and this was the first time that the flag section had their complete uniforms.
On this night, the half time performance was organized in two sections. During the first section, the visiting fifth grade musicians accompanied the band onto the field and played a number of short pieces including excerpts from Iron Man, The Seven Nation Army, The Hey Song, and others. The second section was the high school marching band performing its regular show.
Unless otherwise noted, all pictures are original photos that were taken with an LG-G4 cell phone.

Along with the music, the show also contains some physical challenges for the performers.
Conclusion
Thank you in advance for supporting the first marching band on Steem!
Rehearsal after rehearsal and week after week, the show gets more complete and the execution gets more precise. Anyone who has participated in marching band knows the huge amount of effort that these kids put into the show, so it's a great reward to to see it continuing to come together the way it is.
This is at least the third consecutive year that the fifth graders have visited during a football game, and I think it's a great recruiting idea. Hopefully it will start paying dividends for the marching band when the involved fifth graders advance into ninth grade in 2020 (or before).
The first post about this game was, [September 21, 2018] Penn Wood at Rustin Football Game - Dance Team and Visting Musicians. Check back later for another photo essay to document the stands experience.
Oh, and before I go, the final score was 43-28 Rustin, which brought the Golden Knight's record to 3 wins and 1 loss.
The @rgkmb-unofficial account is an experimental account that is operated by Steve Palmer (@remlaps). The account's purpose is to demonstrate the viability of a fund-raising model that is based on use of the Steem block chain in the community. The account's goal for 2018 is to raise enough money to send one student on the Rustin Golden Knight Marching Band's trip from Pennsylvania to Florida in December for performances in the Citrus Parade and in Disney.
