SILENT POOL (SURREY)
A natural attraction which has mysticism galore flowing through its crystal clear waters.
At the foot of the North Downs in Surrey, tree-lined Silent Pool boasts near-transparent waters thanks to the network of filtering springs that flow into it.
Silent Pool was also the scene of a Twenties marital drama, when a young Agatha Christie went missing for a week amid fears she had drowned here after her husband left her for another woman.
